The St. Thomas More Orthopedic Clinic is accepting new patients. We hold a weekly clinic held each Tuesday in the CCOM/outpatient rehabilitation building located on the hospital’s campus. Orthopedic surgeons Alex Romero, M.D., and Jennifer Fitzpatrick, M.D., of the St. Mary-Corwin Orthopedic Group alternate the Tuesday clinics.

St. Thomas More Hospital offers a collaborative approach to specialized orthopedic services in Fremont County. Community orthopedic surgeons Jacob Patterson, M.D., and Eric Carlson, M.D., now collaborate with the St. Mary-Corwin Orthopedic Group which includes Drs. Shawn Nakamura, Robert Nolan, Jennifer Fitzpatrick, Bruce Taylor, and Alex Romero. 

All orthopedic surgical procedures that are indicated from the St. Thomas More Orthopedic Clinic will be performed at St. Thomas More Hospital. Follow-up care will also be provided at St. Thomas More Hospital with the goal of keeping patients as close to home as possible for their care. Hospital patient rounding and routine follow-up care will also be provided here in Cañon City. 

This collaborative approach with Dr. Patterson and Dr. Carlson – established orthopedic surgeons in our community who have great relationships with their patients and St. Thomas More Hospital health care providers – and the St. Mary-Corwin Orthopedic Group allows us to provide comprehensive orthopedic services to the communities we serve.
