Centura Health Transitions St. Anthony North Hospital to 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center

(ENGLEWOOD, COLO.) Centura Health, the regions health care leader, will transition St. Anthony North Hospital to a Neighborhood Health Center in March 2015. The new Neighborhood Health Center, located at 2551 W. 84thAvenue in Westminster, Colo., combines the elements of Centura Healths fully-integrated network to deliver a range of personalized, high-value health care services. The Center will be designed to meet the surrounding community's health needs and provide solutions where identified gaps in health care services and resources exist.

All inpatient services will be transferred to the new Centura Health hospital opening at the St. Anthony North Health Campus at 144th Avenue and I-25 in Westminster on March 3, 2015. On this date, all current patients in hospital rooms will be transported to the 144th Avenue campus. The new state-of-the-art facility is equipped to handle acute care needs such as hospitalization, surgery and newborn deliveries.

Many outpatient services currently offered at St. Anthony North Hospital will remain at the 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center and some new services will be added to provide even more care in one convenient location.

Centura Health and St. Anthony North Hospital have served the communities of Westminster and Federal Heights for more than 40 years, said Carole Peet, chief executive officer, St. Anthony North Hospital and St. Anthony North Health Campus. With the transition to the 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center, our long-standing relationship with our neighbors and the high-quality, compassionate care we have delivered for four decades remains unchanged and will continue.

In its commitment to serve north metro-area residents, Centura Health conducted a community needs assessment in 2012 to determine the services needed to continue to improve the health of the Westminster and Federal Heights communities. Key areas identified were the need for more primary care doctors and mental health services.

Based on that assessment and input from local community leaders and neighbors, the 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center will offer a full-service, free-standing ER (Level IV trauma center), an advanced Wound Care Center, a cardiac rehabilitation program, a pulmonary rehab program, a diabetes management program, 19 primary care physicians in addition to rotating specialists, a Mental Health Crisis Center through a partnership with Community Reach Center and dental care for patients with Medicaid.

Community Open House
To ensure the communities Centura Health serves understand the new services provided at the 84th Avenue Neighborhood Health Center and transition of services to the St. Anthony North Health Campus, a community information open house is scheduled from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at St. Anthony North Hospital, 2551 W. 84thAve., in Aspen Rooms A/B.
