If you are looking for an acute care inpatient hospitalization for yourself or a loved one, please go to your nearest emergency department. Once there, an evaluation from the psychiatric consultation team will be done to determine what is the most appropriate disposition. If the patient is experiencing a psychiatric emergency and requires hospitalization they will look for an available bed.
If you are at Porter or a Centura Hospital and there are beds available, the patient may be admitted there. If there are no beds available then the psychiatric consultation team will initiate a search for the first available psychiatric hospital that can provide the patient with the appropriate services.
