Childbirth Education
This class teaches expectant mothers what to expect in their third trimester of pregnancy, breathing techniques for labor, pain relief options available during delivery, breastfeeding tips, post-delivery care for you and baby, car seat safety and community resources. Spouses/partners welcome. Come to class and learn ways to prepare yourself, your partner and your baby for labor and delivery.

Classes are held once a week on Monday for four week sessions. Time is 6 pm to 9 pm in the Community Education Room at St. Thomas More Hospital. (Enter main doors to STMH, first door on your left.) The cost is $25.00 which covers you and your partner/support person to attend all four classes, or a one day eight hour class. Scholarships are available if you need financial assistance, so call 285-2058 for more information.

- January 9 – January 30, 2012
- March 17, 2012 (One 8 hour class)
- April 30 – May 21, 2012
- July 21, 2012 (One 8 hour class)
- September 10 – October 1, 2012
- November 17, 2012 (One 8 hour class)
Your certified childbirth educator is Elizabeth A. Barnes, RN, CCE, C-EFM, who also serves as an OB Nurse in The Birth Center.
