The Birth Center at St. Thomas More Hospital

The Birth Center at St. Thomas More Hospital in Canon City, Colorado

Deliver your baby at
The Birth Center,
near home, near the heart.

Bringing a new life into the world is such a special time for families.  The compassionate, caring obstetric nurses and physicians at St. Thomas More Hospital would be honored to be part of that special time.  We provide quality care for mom and baby in the comfort of your neighborhood, close to family and friends.

The Birth Center was renovated in September 2013 to provide a warm and welcoming environment to our patients, visitors and staff.  The renovation offered large, private Labor & Delivery rooms each with state-of-the-art fetal monitoring equipment and a private rest room, private Post-Partum rooms each with a private rest room, an enlarged Newborn Nursery featuring all new equipment, convenient Nurses Station and Physician Dictation room.

Are we proud to bring in new life?  We play a lullaby over our speaker system to welcome them to their new world.

The Birth Center includes a dedicated cesarean section operating room. For babies requiring specialized care, we offer immediate transport to Neonatal Intensive Care Units in nearby Colorado Springs and Denver.  Our anesthesia department offers epidural pain control measures for laboring women. For more information or to take a tour, contact our Labor & Delivery staff at (719) 285-2043.
